DCB/ECB Conversion Course 23rd /30th November 2008 7th December 2008 ISCA College, Exeter

This course has been designed to convert ECB Level I coaches to become a UKCC Club Coach. It will help successful candidates to prepare for, deliver and review cricket coaching sessions. It will enable the coach to :-

               Introduce and develop the game of cricket to people of all ages in a safe and enjoyable way

• Develop FUNdaMental movement skills

• Develop and improve [layers (as people as well as cricketers)

• Develop their coaching skills, knowledge and qualities

• Demonstrate competence against UKCC/National standards for coaches
  

The course comprises Four Modules – The Coaching Process; Performance Factors; Coaching Children and Young players; Group Coaching (assessment). Supported Practice 6 X 30 minute sessions, Log Book Assessments followed by a Group Coaching/MCQ paper/Demonstrations.

Prerequisites for the Course are:-

• First Aid Qualification
• Safe-guarding and Protecting Children*
• CRB Check*
  
  

A clear CRB check and attendance on a GPCP must be received prior to supported practice

Cost £150.00 to DCB member; £200.00 for others

Dates 23rd/ 30th November 2008 Final assessment to be arranged in 2009
