BOVEY
Tracey put their shock defeat at Kingskerswell last
time out behind them to administer a 64-run hiding on
South Devon at Marsh Road.
Andrew Kingdon, who has
flourished with the bat since joining Bovey from Paignton
at the start of the season, top scored for with 66 off
52 balls with seven fours and a six.
Kingdon and Andy Fairbairn (37) carted South Devon's
bowlers around in a stand of 74 for the third wicket.
When Fairbairn got out, Kingdon carried on and kept
the runs coming in stands with Simon Newton and Aaron
DeYounge as Bovey reached 153 for seven.
David Knowles (4-30) took wickets at the end and was
on a hat-trick at one stage.
South Devon knew they would be sunk without a good start,
so losing big-hitter Rizwan Saeed in single figures
didn't do them any favours.
Charlie Carter (3-15) and Pete Bradley (2-9) kept the
runs down and by halfway the asking rate was a hefty
10 an over.
Phil Blackmore batted through for an unbeaten 40 as
South Devon meandered to 89 for six when their overs
ran out.
