Corinthian Cup

Champions Cullompton

Eighteen clubs entered this year's competition and the semi-finals were played at Uplyme and Seaton on 8 August. The final was rained off with Feniton on 40-2 and re-scheduled for the following Sunday. The Association wishes to thank both clubs for readily staging the matches and for their hospitality to visiting officials and the finalists.

The semi-final at Uplyme saw a high scoring close encounter with Feniton winning through. The semi at Seaton was rain interrupted with Cullompton defeating Ivybridge. Congratulations to Cullompton, the eventual winners.

Les Haynes proved an able administrator in his first year as Competition Organiser – thank you, Les, for your enthusiasm and hard work. We are also indebted to umpires John Smith and Rupert Vallance for willingly returning to officiate at the final.
