My background in cricket is:-

I played cricket initially with Guisborough CC in North Yorkshire and then primarily with the Navy and the now sadly departed United Services, latterly Mount Wise. After several attempts at retiring I finally managed it and have been actively involved in the development of youth cricket within the West Devon area. More recently I have become active within the Women's game, helping to foster and promote the game within the county. I am currently a Level 3 Coach and an ECB Tutor.

I have the following roles & responsibilities for the DCB and I also undertake roles at a regional / national level for:-

I am a small part of the team led by our CDM which is helping the DCB to deliver its Strategic Plan for cricket, but specifically for the development and growth of women's and girl's cricket. Additionally I am a Regional Selector for the ECB Under 19 Women's Squad based at Taunton and combine this role with that of Head Coach of the South of England Under 19 Girls side.

What best describes you which is not mentioned already?

I currently coach the Devon under 13's team, the Devon Ladies Senior side and also the Devon Under 17 and Under 15 sides and am involved in supporting the DCBYA youth programme annually. I also tutor coaches in Devon at Level 1 & 2, working for the Coaches Association and provide the first aid aspect of coaching courses in Devon . In my spare time I coach the Ladies side at Plympton CC and occasionally bump into my wife and family!
