My background in cricket is:-

I played cricket in my mid teens for Ashburton and much later in my 40's. I returned to cricket when my three sons went through the colts system. From there it has simply mushroomed. Running our U17 colts for five years followed by club administration for Ashburton, currently chairman, umpire and groundsman. Involved with the Devon League for nearly 10yrs. Roles included discipline, results service and webmaster. Currently have no roles with the DCL. I stood down as an umpire from the Premier panel after a number of years due to increasing commitments at club level, now only stand in club and local cup fixtures, on average 4 or 5 games a week.

I have the following roles & responsibilities for the DCB :-

I am currently the Devon Cricket Board webmaster, a role I have fulfilled since its first website started some six years ago. I have no regional or national roles.

What best describes you which is not mentioned already?

I am a typical cricket nut drawn in by my children's involvement in cricket. Also have an interest in anything technical. Abhor bad behaviour on or around the cricket field.
