IT'S all change at the top of the A Division with Budleigh Salterton making the best of Axminster's day off to snatch the leadership for themselves.

Seaton were bowled out for 123 with stand-in skipper Paul Heys leading from the front by claiming five wickets. Rob Newing (54no) and Chris Horne (50no) took their side comfortably through to a comprehensive win.

Torquay II stay second but they failed to win for the second successive Saturday.

Having recorded five straight wins before last week's defeat by Axminster II they were held to a losing draw at third-from-bottom Abbotskerswell.

Jamie Lock (72), Dave Williams (43) and Damian Scarr (33) made the key contributions to Abbots' total of 240 for six.

Then leg spinner Gary Day bagged a five-wicket haul as the former leaders stumbled to a close of 194-8, Stephen Craig and Joe Thompson both scored 25 for the Rec Grounders.

The mid -able game between Sidmouth II went the way of the hosts with Shobrooke Patk II beaten by 56 runs.

Olly Pyne top scored with the bat for Sidmouth with 48, but the visitors conceded no fewer than 57 extras, one unfortunate bowler sending down 31 wides!

Mark Wheeler (3-75) and Fran Pyle (2-36) were the most successful Shobrooke bowlers and then Graham, Dark top scored with 54 as Park were bowled out in the 48th over for 147. The wicket taking duties were shared out by Graham Munday (3-24), George Cave   (2-17), Paris Pinney (2-15) and James Gingell (2-39).

The sides who started the day in the bottom two places ,and who had mustered just a single win between them in the previous 20 outings, went the way of second-bottom Cornwood ,who dispatched Bovey Tracey by eight wickets.

John Cadoux-Hudson was the only Bovey batter to make an impression with 28 and there were 26 extras in a total of 144.

Veterans Fran Adams (4-25 and Phil Bees (3-28) did the wicket taking for the hosts who cantered to an eight-wicket win led by openers Martyn Cooksley (53) and Graham Jones (51), who notched 112 for the first wicket .
