beat Kenn by 25 runs. Alan Bromfield (44) and Nick Roud
(32), the pair added 43 for the 6th wicket after their
side had wobbled at 84-5, to reach 148 and then Jerry
Turner claimed 4-27 as Kenn were bowled out for 123.
Upottery
were grateful to Stuart Drew for his efforts in their
five-wicket win over Culmstock .
Steve Popham (46) and Russell Geech (22) saw Upottery
to 150, Drew claiming 6-36.
At 28-5 Upottery were staring defeat in the face, but
then Drew strode to the wicket and no further wickets
were lost in a successful run chase. Drew closed unbeaten
on 43 and at the other end Gary Kennard ended not out
48, the pair adding 125 in an unbroken sixth wicket
partnership.
Chardstock
were put to the sword by early leaders Countess
Wear . The
Exeter side have now claimed all 60 points available
after three games following a ten-wicket win at Chardstock,
only Fenton Day (27) and Paul Strawbridge (16) troubled
the scorers in a total of 89, passed in great comfort
by Countess Wear.
