Aaron Williams (25) and James Toms (21) were the best of the rest among the Barton batsman.

Veteran spinner Richard Coupe with four for 50 from 16 overs was the pick of the Sandford bowlers.

Barton bowler Jack Porter (3-40) posed problems early on for Sandford, who got going from 36 for three to reach 126 for four thanks to Adrian Small (37) and Anning.

A double strike by Imran Abbass (2-21), plus Morgan picking up Chris Jelley for a duck, rocked Sandford as they dipped to 131 for six.

Anning found a willing accomplice in Asa Wright, who kept one end going for his unbeaten 23 in a stand of 57 that won the game.

Paignton found runs hard to come by as Ian Bishop (3-36). Matt Webb (2-31), Spoljaric and Dawson tied the down for over after over.

Young opener Seb Benton dug in for the duration to make an unbeaten 47 off 159 balls that set Paignton on the road to victory.

North Devon had the finish of the day in their game with visiting Plympton , which they won in the final over with their last pair of batsmen at the crease.

In form Jeremy Williams slapped the North Devon bowling about to make a top score of 72 in a Plympton tally of 209 all out.

Lewis Gregory made 37 at the top of the innings then Keith Donohue (24) and Saddiq Mohammed (39) joined Williams for stands of 40 and 79 respectively that kept the scoreboard ticking over.

Rob Gear and Matt Dart claimed three wickets each for North Devon, who set off in hot pursuit with Stewart Rhodes (80) and Gear (25) posting 51 without loss.

Mike Hedden (39) kept the target coming down, but the jitters set in as North Devon slipped from 206 for six to 209 for six as the overs ticked down.

Tail ender Ross Burbage stayed cool to hit Saddiq for four and win the game with five balls to spare.

Exmouth are out of the bottom two following their 58-run win away to cellar dwellers Chudleigh .

Mike Paine was in form with 44, and there was a chip in worth 30 from Chris Travers, as Exmouth reached 173 all out in the second-last of their overs.

Fehan Adil (4-20) put the break on Exmouth after they had been 128 for four.

Chudleigh struggled from the word go against Richard Baggs and Mark Woodman and at 56 for five the writing was on the wall with leading scorer Simon Rooke out for 23.

Mark Solway (200 battled in vain to save the game, but Travers (4-23) kept knocking over his partners, leaving Solway the last man out on 115 in the 48th over.
