PREMIER Division champions Sidmouth have signed two grade cricketers from Australia for the season ahead.
Hilton Cartwright, from Perth, has been playing first grade cricket for South Perth, the club where Sidmouth's Adam Dibble and Sam Richardson spent the winter.
Former Exeter players Marshall Hood and Hugh Brown were also in the same team.
Cartwright holds a British passport. He is a right-hand bat and medium-fast right-arm bowler.
Also from South Perth is Jackson Davey, a left-handed batsman and bowls off-breaks. He has been playing second grade cricket in Perth.
From closer to home comes Matt Hewer from Seaton. Hewer, who has previous played Premier cricket for Bovey Tracey, is a batsman who keeps wicket as well.
Hewer made his debut for Sidmouth at Axminster last Saturday.
