Printed below is a copy of the scene setting email which has been sent out to clubs. The new process will allow clubs with the appropriate security, to submit details direct. This new process will remove paperwork from the system and make it more efficient for both clubs and administrators.Dear Club Official,
As part of the Devon Cricket Board's (DCB's) role, it runs and updates the Devon Cricket website at www.devoncricket.co.uk. One of the main facilities on the website is the club directory. Each club who affiliates to the DCB is entered on the website and details of the clubs officials are published via a database.
To ensure this information is up to date the DCB, in agreement with the Devon Cricket League (DCL), has now developed a new online system for completing the annual affirmation process. The online system will save a great deal of paperwork for all concerned and will ensure that the most up to date information is always readily available. For clubs that are members of the DCL, the information given via this online affirmation process will be shared with the DCL so that the correct details can be entered into the DCL Handbook.
This system will encompass all affiliated clubs in Devon, not just DCL clubs, and will ensure the most up to date information regarding Devon cricket club officials is recorded centrally. Please therefore also ensure that any updates throughout the year are either made online or are sent to Claire Colman (DCB Administrator) using the email address below.You will shortly be receiving an email request from the DCB with a link to the website where you can update your details. A four-digit PIN will be included in the email as a unique identifier for your club. Some of the fields will be compulsory, such as Club Chairman, Club Secretary, Club Treasurer and Fixtures Secretary, however, if no details have changed you will simply be able to tick to indicate this. Please ensure you check the form carefully and make all amendments required.
