The final act of the successful charity cricket match between a Professional Jockeys XI, captained by Tom Scudamore, and Keith Parsons’ sporting Celebrity XI, held at South Devon Cricket Club last month, was carried out on the pitch at the Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.

The game, which included a guest appearance by West Indies start Chris Gayle, was well supported and realised a massive £13,250 profit.

The profits were divided equally between the Injured Jockeys Fund, the Tom Maynard Trust and South Devon CC Youth Cricket, with cheques for just over £4416 for each of them presented at a ceremony at in Taunton.
