BOTTOM side Dartington & Totnes lost by 38 runs to mid-table Tavistock.

Tavsitock totalled 223 for five with Dave Manning unbeaten on 73.

Shaun Daymond and Ian Grey (42) opened up with 78 then Manning and Aaron Churchill (31) added a further 77 towards the final total.

D&T had a go at chasing and at 154 for five were still in it.

Although Chris Cook made 69 not out, losing skipper James Howrihane sixth out for 27 killed off D&T.

Howrihane was one of five batters to depart lbw in the D&T innings.

Dave Ball took five D&T wickets for 41 runs and there were three for Marc Lewis and two for James McGahey.

Darts, who host Thorverton this Saturday, know they are relegated and already looking ahead.
