WANTED! Volunteers to serve as treasurer and league secretary for Devon Women’s Cricket Association.

The DWCA is holding its annual meeting at the Exeter Court Hotel on Monday, November 14.

High on the agenda is replacing treasurer Deborah Hill and league secretary Kirsty Hambley.

Emma Gibson, the secretary of the DWCA, said finding replacements for Hill and Hambley is vital.

“We are a small committee but we will struggle to operate at a minimum level unless we can find replacements,” said Gibson.

For an informal chat about becoming an Association officer, contact DWCA chairman Warren Carr or any member of the existing committee.

Part of the evening is set aside for handing out awards to last summer’s divisional winners – North Devon and Axminster – and announcing the league player of the year.

The meeting will be followed by short meeting of the new committee at around 7.45pm.

Said Gibson: “Clubs should make every effort to attend and all are asked to send at least one representative along.”
