'I have also done a couple more this week of slightly higher intensity.

'My ankle has come though it all really well and thanks to all the hard work that Jamie Thorpe (SCCC physiotherapist) and Daz (Darren Venness (strength and conditioning) have put in to help me it is strong and I fell ready to start to get out there.'

Gregory went on: 'I will be fit and ready to go with the rest of the squad to Desert Springs, but will only be there four days before along with Tim (Groenewald) I fly out to Dubai for the North versus South series where it will be even warmer.

'I am looking forward to getting outside. before which my intensities will have been upped as I am playing some games in early to mid-March.

'However at the moment everything is really good and we are building towards me being flat out for the start of March.'

Gregory flies out to Dubai on March the 11 for a 10-day stay, which includes a warm-up fixture and three games.

Said Gregory: 'It's going to be a really good trip and a great experience and it's a great opportunity to stake my claim for a white-ball spot coming up in the future, so I will be going out there to show what I can do.'
