LOCAL heroes Craig and Jamie Overton are playing in tomorrow's (Sunday) James Hildreth Testimonial game at Bideford.

Somerset are returning to the Westward Ho ground for the first time since 2013 when Arul Suppiah had a game there during his benefit season.

Former Somerset captain and England star Marcus Trescothick had a benefit game at Bideford in 2008.

As both games were well supported by the cricket community in north Devon, when the chance to return came up Hildreth had no hesitation accepting.

And the inclusion of the Overton twins in the Somerset side will inevitably add to the attraction of the game.

Jamie and Craig’s family home is in Bideford and the twins played cricket a six hit away at North Devon CC as youngsters. Both still turn out in the Devon League for North Devon when their Somerset commitments allow.

Solicitors Wollen Michelmore are sponsoring the game, which gets under way at 2.00 pm.

Admission is £6.00 per adult. Under-16s are admitted free.

The Somerset team is: James Hildreth, Peter Trego,  Jamie Overton,  Craig Overton, Roelof van der Merwe, Paul van Meereren, Ben Green, Josh Davey, Michael Leask,  Ryan Davies, Adam Hose.
