Match One: Devon v Wiltshire

It was so good to see the positive start to the T29 competition, especially with Devon's bowling, with only five wides bowled.

Evie Pitman (4-2-7-3), Sophie Florides (4-1-10-1) and Morgan Harrison-Hooton (4-1-6-1) bowled consistently well and Devon restricted Wiltshire to 79 for their 20 overs. Immy Beasley did well with her two stumping and there were some athletic catches from Daisy Meadowcroft.

Opener Immy Beasley (29) scored well with her four boundaries and Becca Halliday (26*) steadied the innings after an early loss coming in at three. Devon reached the target needing just 14 overs to achieve their win of the T20 season.

Match Two: Devon v Dorset

On a warm afternoon at Whimple Cricket Club having had a three and a half wait for their second T20 match. Dorset struggled against Devon with the bat and wickets fell on a regular basis. There Despite the six wonderful catches, Dorset completed their 20 overs for 73-9.

It only took Immy Beasley (36*) and Libby McNally (17*) to make the required runs in 11 overs; though a few more running twos and threes would have completed their innings even quicker!  Something to take into their next match.
