CHELSTON & Kingskerswell crumbled to 53 all out against Kenn on their way to a 132-run defeat.

Opener Ben Challoner hit 88 as the table-toppers mad 185 all out with seven overs left. Jack Thomas had 28 in a stand of 90 with Challoner.

The batting tailed off once Thomas went with Pat Duke (4-35) and Erik Gregersen (3-12) working through the order.

Steve Waters (13) and Mark Faulkner (16) were the only batters to make double-figure scores for Chelston & Kingskerswell.

Mike Etherington made five, Gregersen four and the rest none between them!

The damage was largely done the Thomas brothers – Jack (4-18) and Ollie (2-11) – who ripped out most of the top six.

Kenn skipper James Mason got in on the act late in the day with thee for five from 14 balls.

YELVERTON were too strong for St Marychurch Old Boys, beating them by eight wickets.

The Old Boys were all out for 56 in the 27th over – Marcus Thompson (22) making the only score of more than seven.

Christiaan Van Niekerk (5-8) took the bowling plaudits ahead of Hadleigh Scott-Kirk (3-11).

Dan Cooper had 30 in the 10.5 overs Yelverton required to knock off the runs.

EXWICK slumped to an eight-wicket defeat at Whitchurch after they were dismissed for 88.

Vic Murphy’s 23 was as good as it got for Exwick, who were bowled out by Darren Sambells (4-37) and Clive Marais (3-7). Slumping from 50 for two to 61 for seven was the root of the problem for Exwick.

Ben Powell (40) and Richard Hall (31) led the Whitchurch run chase.

The only thing  between Exwick and the bottom of the table is St Marychurch Old Boys.
