BOVEY Tracey and Devon all-rounder Matt Golding is a man in form Down Under with runs and wickets.

Golding is in the middle of playing his third Aussie Grade cricket campaign for Beaconsfield Tigers in Victoria.

Beaconsfield latest outing was against Fountain Gate CC, which they won on first innings score in the two-day format used in the Dandenong District Cricket Association.

Golding took eight wickets for 34 runs when Fountain Gate batted first time, then rapped 80 not out.

When Fountain Gate batted second time round Goulding claimed five more wickets for figures of 13 for 114 in the match.

Time ran out before Beaconsfield could press for an outright win.

Golding, 25 this year, has been having a productive season for his Aussie club. He has scored 466 runs at 66.6 – including hundreds against Lynbrook and Lyndale.

His bowling has gone well too with 36 wickets at around 11 runs each.

The season in Victoria ends in mid-March – two weeks before Devon start their pre-season programme.
