STOKE Gabriel captain Jack Tolley hammered a century in his side’s 36-run win over visiting South Devon.

Tolley, who hit 10 fours and eight sixes, shared a stand of 112 for the third wicket with Connor Bryan (71).

South Devon couldn’t quite keep up with the asking rate and finished on 222 for seven.

Half-centuries by Dinesh Raheja (64) and Richard Beaumont (63) were supported by Anthony Bingley (32).

Kyle Lardner had four for 27 on his Stoke debut.

Paignton II were too strong for visiting Plymouth CS&R by a margin of 145 runs.

Opener Mark Smith was dismissed for 99 in Paignton’s 45-over total of 264 for six. Luke Medlock made 37 and former Devon all-rounder Tim Ward swished 45 not out at the end.

Ben Richards (1-29) and Dan Winsor (2-44) were the pick of the bowlers.

Civil lost wickets early to Luke Medlock and Charlie Ward (2-19), but recovered while Dan Ellard (36) and Jack Dent (16) held out.

Toby Medlock (4-6) ran through the lower order as Civil subsided to 119 all out with nine overs to go.

TORQUAY II were comfortable 88-run winners in the derby date with Barton on the Recreation Ground.

Neal Osborn top scored with 71 and shared a stand of 75 for the third wicket with Anthony Nadar (31) in Torquay’s total of 222 for seven. Dan Western made 29.

Jack Hemus (3-36) took the bowling honours for Barton, who were dismissed for 134 in reply.

Barton collapsed to 72 for eight before Ben Lipton (32) dug in.

Nadar (3-10 posted Torquay’s best bowling figures.

YELVERTON cruised to a four-wicket win over Plymouth II in a low-scoring D Division West encounter at Mount Wise.

Clarie Varcoe clouted a six on her way to 28 a top score of 28 in Plymouth’s total of 121. James Cooper and James Casey had three wickets each for Yelverton.

Tom Watkins thumped 63 not out to get Yelverton over the line.

 Whitchurch racked up 277 for eight against visiting Kenn, which proved enough to earn a 39-run win.

Skipper Ben Powell (58) and Richard Potts (69) put on 132 for the second wicket and chip-ns from Josh Meadows (42) and Josh Vernon (33no) moved the board along.

Ed Bragg top scored for Kenn with 68 and his stands of 96 with Lyle Muir (24) and 70 with James Gosling (35) made a chase of it.

Vernon (2-13) picked off Gosling and Bragg in quick succession and once Adam Milton went for 30 the pursuit faltered.

Meadows took three for 28 as Kenn bowed out for 238.
