CAMERON Kidd hit an unbeaten 85 as Whimple sauntered to a seven-wicket win over Exeter II on the County Ground.
Exeter were restricted to 138 all out with eight balls to go – Nick Horne top scoring on 29.
Steve Hathaway (3-33) and Devon Nightingale (3-25) did the business with the ball for Whimple.
Kidd went in first wicket down with the score on three and added 111 with Mike Searle (22) to make the result a formality.
Victory lifts Whimple up to fourth in the table.
David Culshaw, who skippered the side in the absence of Ben Silk, said: “it was another controlled, all-round show and continues our fine, early season form.
“Once again our bowlers set the standard and effectively set up the victory opportunity.
“Steve Hathaway is in fine form and three wickets at the County Ground is no more than he deserved.
"Cameron (Kidd), showed what a good eye he has as he wasted no time in punishing any poor deliveries and he raced to a half-century.”
FENITON made Kilmington work every inch of the way for victory in a low-scoring affair at the Hitchcock Memorial Playing Field.
Feniton were bowled out for 99 on the 34th over and only got that many thanks to tail-enders Andy Rose (13) and Jon French (31) soldiering on from 51 for eight.
Tom Gooding (5-29) scythed through the middle order after Ollie Reed (2-5) struck early.
Kilmington stumbled over the line in the 27th over with two wickets left after a duffing up from Chris May (4-31), Jonny Pyle (2-28) and Jack Tucker (2-24).
Opener Gooding (27) was eighth out at 73. Rob Crabb (17no) got Kilmington home after a struggle.
Kilmington skipper Brett Garner said: “The wicket was green and I fancy some of the rain had got under the covers so it was a good toss to win.
“Once Tom (Gooding) saw how green it was and then how much life there was in the wicket, his back woes disappeared and he exploited the conditions very well.
“Feniton bowled exceptionally when we batted and, at 66-8, I was fearing the worst!”

SKIPPER Adam Jones missed out on a maiden league century in Budleigh II’s 60-run home defeat by Alphington.
Budleigh were set a hefty 268 to win by Alphington, for whom D J van Vuuren had clobbered 102.
The South African all-rounder went in at 49 for two and was the last man out at 255 for eight.
Along the way there was one big stand of 79 with Tom Bath (35) - and several 20s and 30s.
Sean Mills (4-57) was the leading wicket taker for Budleigh. Will Oxland (2-33) was fractionally cheaper to run then Matt Murphy (1-36).
Budleigh’s prospects didn’t look bright when they were 48 for six after a duffing up from Bath (4-63) and further interruptions from Mark Halse (3-31) left the Otters reeling at 108 for eight.
Jones, standing in as skipper for Nick Boult, who was on 1st XI duty, was still there though and found an unlikely partner in last man Sid Fereday.
Budleigh’s last-wicket pair put on 99 – a new league record for the division by 42 runs – and had Alphington rattled.
With ten overs to go Halse was brought back into the attack it too him three balls to trap Jones lbw for 96.
Fereday finished undefeated on 30.
Budleigh are away to Ottery St Mary this Saturday.
BRAUNTON were caned by 10 wickets when they ran into C Division East leaders Sidmouth II at the Fortfield.
Callum Mitchell (68) was the only batter to hang around long as Braunton were dismissed for 132 in the 35th over.
Andy Wood made 18, Jamie Matthews made 11 and Mark Johnson 10. Five other batters didn’t score a run between them!
Mitchell and Johnson put on 67 for the eighth wicket to stave off total collapse. Braunton had been 61 for seven.
Wickets were shared with three for Toby Seldon and two each for Charlie Dibble and Daley Holmes.
Sidmouth openers Issac Thomas (72) and Nick Mansfield (40) knocked off the runs early in the 24th over. Dan Brierley’s none for 35 off eight and Jon Baglow’s none for 18 from 5.1, slowed the victory charge for a while.
Braunton are at home to Whimple this Saturday.
CLYST Hydon are bumping along the bottom of the C Division East after going down by 98 runs to Ottery St Mary.
Ottery raced along to 315 for eight in the full 45 overs – opener Ollie West making 138 at better than run-a-ball rate.
West was fifth out on 257 having put on 86 with Alex Clements (21), 70 with Dan Flower (21) and 76 with Rob Johns (33).
Dismissing West was a mixed blessing for Hydon as Jack Malden promptly biffed 44 off 22 balls in the last few overs.
Hydon’s bowlers all took some tap, Chris Holmes (2-28) and Ian Sutton (2-35) got some reward. George Thornton (3-65) got some consolation in this last spell.
Hydon were presented with a revised target of 285 to win after a rain break, but fell well short on 186 all out.
Opener Gwillam Davies made 66 and Heflin Wood 20; no one else got past 16.
Man of the match West followed his ton with three wickets for 39 runs. Dan Jeacock took two for 34.
