AN outstanding all round performance from Matt Rowe took Cornwall to their second win of the season.

Cornwall captain Matt RoweRowe was denied a century when he was struck on the helmet and forced to retire but he recovered sufficiently to claim career best innings and match figures - 11 for 132 - with his off spin.

Slow left-armer Andrew Libby formed an effective spin partnership with Rowe which overcame more resistance from former Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Lancashire all-rounder Wayne White.

Cheshire slow left-armer Danny Woods returned his best Minor Counties figures in five years.

Truro: Cornwall 245 (Tom Rowe 57, Wayne White 5-78) & 285-9 dec (Matt Rowe 93 not out, Sam Wood 51, Danny Woods 7-65), Cheshire 232 (Matt Rowe 5-63) & 223 (Wayne White 65 not out, Rick Moore 64, Matt Rowe 6-69, Andrew Libby 4-79). Cornwall (22 pts) beat Cheshire (6 pts) by 75 runs

Fynn followed up half centuries in each of Shropshire’s innings and four wickets in Dorset’s first with seven in the second. The slow left-armer, who has played first-class cricket in his native South Africa finished with match figures of 11 for 118.

Former Leicestershire seamer Alex Wyatt gave Fynn excellent support by taking three for eight in 13 second innings overs.

Bournemouth Sports Club: Shropshire 310 (Warrick Fynn 66, Steve Leach 63, Ross Aucott 58, Jigar Nailk 5-111) & 211 (Warrick Fynn 61, Jon Legg 6-58), Dorset 192 (Luke Webb 74, Warrick Fynn 4-58) & 167 (Alex Eckland 54, Warwick Fynn 7-60). Shropshire (23 pts) beat Dorset (5 pts) by 162 runs.

FORMER Somerset, Worcestershire and Hampshire all-rounder Gareth Andrew led Oxfordshire to their third straight win.

Andrew claimed his third five-wicket haul of the season to deny Herefordshire victory in their 300th match in all Minor Counties competitions.

Ollie Price, a 17-year-old off-spinner from Great & Little Tew, gave Andrew splendid support by taking three for 14 on his debut including the wicket of Herefordshire captain Matt Pardoe, the former Worcestershire opener, who top scored with 35.

Brockhampton: Oxfordshire 302 (Harry Smith 74, Gareth Andrew 66, Matt Pardoe 4-61) & 165 (Richard Kaufman 57, Jamie McIlroy 6-33), Herefordshire 346 (David Ball 156 not out, Joe Ellis-Dabrowski 61, Richard Kaufman 4-36) & 107 (Gareth Andrew 5-45). They lost Brad Dawson early but a seventh wicket stand of 42 between Tom Morton (25 not out) and Tahir Afridi (34) took them to within eight runs of victory.
