BRIXHAM are not out of relegation danger yet after losing by eight wickets at home to Ivybridge.

Mike Barron (33) and Nathan Way (29) topped up the Brixham total after George Northcott (31) and Tim Robinson (31) had been and gone.

Way was still there at the end in a total of 167 for eight.

Ivybridge bowlers Josh Coker (3-19) and Charles Kunje (2-26) proved hard to get away.

Ivybridge knew if they lost at Boundary Park they were down – so had the incentive to step on it when they batted.

Adam Huxtable’s unbeaten 105 – 15 fours, four sixes – got the Bridge over the line with more than 21 overs to go.

Huxtable put on 86 for the first wicket with Kelvin Trent – his contribution was just four! – and 66 unbroken with Kunje (19no).

Third-bottom Brixham are nine points clear of Ivybridge in the second relegation place with one game to go.

Brixham are away to Budleigh on the last day; Ivybridge face second-placed Torquay, who are still smarting from the defeat by Plympton that cost them top spot in the A Division.
