Salary:  £22,000K  per annum, plus expenses & pension


Devon Cricket seeks to employ a highly motivated, driven and competent Women & Girls Development Officer to work as part of their development team. The Women and Girl’s Club Development Officer position will be responsible for driving sustained growth in the women and girls game and comes at a hugely exciting time given the success and uptake of both All Stars Cricket and Women’s Softball Festivals. Acting as the main point of contact for women and girls clubs, driving club volunteers, club support whilst also creating outstanding experiences for all women and girl’s as they are introduced to our game.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Devon Womens Cricket League to support and enhance all of their activity.

This exciting new role will focus on transforming the health and growth of women and girls cricket across Devon; supporting the needs of clubs and ensuring ECB programmes and initiatives are delivered and deployed effectively.  This role will be the main point of contact for identified clubs and will look to provide outstanding support to inspire growth in this area of the game.

The successful candidate is likely to have experience of working in sports development and working with various partners, developing core sporting activities and increasing the number of people taking an interest in cricket.

You will need to be passionate about and committed to cricket development at a local level.  It would be an advantage if you have experience of women and girls development at a grassroots level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game.

Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.

This post is for an initial 12 month fixed term period commencing February 2019 and reviewed after the initial fixed period, subject to future funding.  We will consider flexible working arrangements.
