SEATON go into their seasonal opener against Countess Wear on the back of a successful warm-up programme.

Ben Morgan’s men have won four out of five starts and given 28 players game time – impressive stats to take into the season.

Seaton were mid-table last season, three or four wins short of mounting a serious promotion challenge.

“We hope to finish right up there this season, but could do with better availability,” said captain Morgan.

“There are three or four missing for the first game because of a wedding. We don’t need too many of those.”

The Waterhouses – batter dad John and all-rounder son Niall – have returned to Seaton after a summer at Axminster.

Ed Hunt, an early order batsman, has pledged better availability this summer having featured infrequently in 2015.
