NOAH Wright smashed and unbeaten 162 for Paignton 2nd XI in their 76-run victory over Plympton 2nd XI on Queens Park.
Wright opened up and 153 balls later was still there having hit 20 fours and four sixes – that’s 104 in boundaries – in Paignton’s total of 252 for five,
Along the way there was a stand of 110 with Charlie Ward, who made 33.
Jason Degg – father of Torquay’s James – top scored for Plympton with 74 in their all out total of 176 for eight.
Wickets were shared with three for Tim Ward - father of Charlie – and two for Rory Medlock.
CHELSTON & Kingskerswell stayed calm under pressure to clinch a five-wicket win over near neighbours South Devon.
Mark Andrews top scored with 55 for his current club against one of his former ones on South Devon’s total of 186 for eight.
Andrews held the innings together under pressure from Shorn Bobb (2-21) and Peter Douglas (3-29) before he was fifth out at 129.
Harry Senior (38) and Richard Beaumont (21) put on 57 for the seventh wicket as South Devon closed in on their final total of 186 for eight.
Pat Duke, the former South Devon captain now with C&K, failed to winkle anyone out and was none for 36 from his nine overs.
Chris Harrison (38) and Lucas Grierson (26) scored the bulk of the runs taking Chelston & Kingskerswell to 94 for four.
Erik Gregersen (33) and Mike Etherington (48no) wiped off another 55, leaving Mark Faulkner (19no) to take the Villagers to victory with three balls to spare.
Spinner Rob Stephens (2-26) topped the bowling stats for South Devon. Skipper James Allen (0-24) and new signing John Purchese (0-26) both bowled mean nine-overs spells.
Pete Douglas (3-29) was the pick of the home bowlers.

Chris Harrison (38) got runs up top, overseas player Lucas Grierson (26) got some in the middle and a combination of Erik Gregerson (33), Mike Ethertington (48no) and Mark Faulkner (19no) got C&K over the line with three balls to bowl.
LAST season’s reprieve from relegation might not have done Plymouth Civil Service & Roborough any favours if their first-day showing at Ipplepen is anything to go by.
CS&R were 19 points adrift at the bottom of the table at half way, but managed to claw their way ahead of Torquay and Barton to dodge the drop.
A 203-run defeat at Ipplepen is not a promising start for skipper Nick Read in his second season in charge.
Chris Partridge plundered 15 fours on his way to a top score of 115 off 109 balls in Ipplepen 2nd XI’s total of 277 all out.
Along the way there were stands of 82 with Steve Bowden, 114 with Callum Thomas (24) and 43 in a hurry with Matt Quartley (28). Steve Ford (4-39) bowled Partridge with the score on 162 for seven. Dan Winsor took three wickets for 45 runs.
The visitors did not manage a partnership higher than 18 on their way to 74 all out. Jack Dent (18) had the only score of note.
Rob Hay and Harry Lewis bagged three wickets each and there were two apiece for George Tapley and Steve Bowden.
JOSH Towl got off to flying start as Whitchurch captain with a half century in the 115-run win at Kenn.
Towel (56) and Richard Potts (50no) both made runs in a Whitchurch total of 217 for six. Ben Powell (31) chipped in.
Kenn, who have lost captain James Mason for the season due to a shoulder injury, were all out for 92 in reply.
Marc Kerswill (3-24) and Rob Bone (3-23) dominated the bowling returns with Darren Sambells (2-22) picking off a couple.
EDDIE Jones rapped out a reminder to Hatherleigh first team skipper Mark Lake with runs and wickets for the 2nd XI in their 145-run win over Lewdown.
Jones top scored with 71 off 75 balls – eight fours, three sixes-in Hatherleigh’s total of 226 for seven.
After Danny Forrester (20) and Ryan Quick (42) gave Hatherleigh a start, Jones and Ross Cherrington (36) amassed 94 for the third wicket.
Tom Pengelly (3-40) shaded the bowling honours for Lewdown.
Lewdown’s batters did not linger long as they were all out for 81 in the 30th over. Pengelly top scored with 19 before becoming the second of Jones’ four wickets.
