PLAYING rules and competition adjustments for the slimed down Tolchards Devon League programme that starts on Saturday have now been published.

Varying the length of games down to 45, 40 and 35 overs has meant changing things such as bonus point targets and start times.

David Sheppard, the league’s newly appointed secretary, had a mammoth task on his hands going through the rules as they related to the 15 divisions operating last year and changing them to reflect the eight-tier format in use this summer.

Sheppard has revised the competition regulations and also updated match rules to bring them into line with the games being played.

The three different lengths of games have different rules.

To simplify some of the changes, Sheppard has produced an at-a-glance speed guide alongside the full portfolio.
