CLYST St George found Bovey Tracey 2nd XI’s bowling attack too hot to handle as they slipped to a five-wicket defeat in the Tier Two play-off for third spot.

Bovey were able to include former Devon pair Ryan Bougourd (2-8) and Peter Bradley, as well as 1st XI regular Will Christophers (2-16), who bowled Clyst to a virtual standstill.

Andy Donovan’s 46 off 53 balls was as good as it got for Clyst, who were all out for 113.

Dan Green smeared eight sixes and three fours in a 25-run gallop to 67 not out that won the game for Bovey with nearly 20 overs to spare.
