SHOBROOKE Park ended a season of few highs with a hefty 191-run win over Bovey Tracey 3rd XI in the Tier Three play-off for third-placed teams, writes Conrad Sutcliffe.

Shobrooke were always in the driving seat after amassing 291 for nine.

John James smote 93 off 64 balls – 14 fours and a six – and shared a stand of 107 with Neil Branton (43).

Josh Reeve (39), Henry Field (24) and Richard Pyle (25no) all kept the fielders on their toes.

Tony England (3-22) and Shawna Ball (2-33) were the pick of Bovey’s bowlers.

Bovey dipped to 21 for three in reply, partly recovered to 43 for five then lost wickets steadily en-route to 100 all out. No one made more than Darren Harvey (17).

There were three wickets each for Chris Ford and Reeve and two for Mark Wheeler.
