A DIVISION ASSESSMENT – WEEK EIGHT

CULLOMPTON v BRADNINCH

Cullompton (Jason Parr):  Top versus bottom so no real pressure on us going into this game. Derby day and were looking forward to it. Better availability for us this weekend. We have trained well and hopefully we can put a good, solid performance together on Saturday.

Bradninch (Eliot Acton):A couple of changes, Rory Thomas returns to the top of the innings and Charlie Sheen comes in, two players who should enjoy a small ground. I am expecting Cullompton to be tougher than the table suggests and I am sure being derby, they will be up for the contest and keen to get their first win of the year. We will need to be at our best as they have a quality overseas player, plus others that are effective on their ground. I was delighted with the performance last week and hope we can keep the momentum going with another win.

NORTH DEVON v BUDLEIGH SALTERTON

North Devon (Tom Popham):McEndoo in for Hockin. We need to maintain our record at home and keep winning our games to put pressure on. Budleigh are a well-established A Division side so we have to be 100 per cent to win the game.Called up: Budleigh's super-veteran Neil Murrin

Budleigh Salterton:A number of changes due to unavailability, frustrating this week after two wins on the bounce. Neil Murrin comes back into the fold and Theo Northover makes a deserved debut. Looking to build on the last two weeks performances where the lads have been outstanding. North Devon are a top side with quality throughout their team. We are under no illusion of how difficult it will be to get a result but we know if we play to the best of our ability it is possible.

PLYMPTON v BARTON

Plympton (Alex Carr): No Craig Donohue or Ben Privett this week. Surya Suresh comes in to make his first team debut (it rained the previous time!!). Barton have put in some good performances this year so will need to play our best cricket to get the win.

Barton (Adam Parker): Looking to get back on track after a tough game last week, we will have to be at our best to get a positive result at Plympton. Team news we are hoping to have Stuart Bowker back available but it will be dependent on how it feels after playing on Thursday night. He is coming back from a fractured collar-bone so don't want to rush it. Looking to finish the first half of the season strongly.

SEATON v ABBOTSKERSWELL

Seaton (Ben Morgan): We really haven't got going so far this season in all aspects of the game and we just aren't clicking so hoping to put it right this weekend. We are better than what we have shown so far. Tristan Wakeley and Wes Holmes aren't available so Mike Double and Raoul East come back in.

Abbotskerswell (Nick Watkin):One change, Kyle Rich comes in for Tom Heath. We need a win as soon as possible, massive game when you consider the positions of the two sides. The two sides haven't played against each other for quite a while so neither side knows too much about the other. Looking forward to the game.

TAVISTOCK v TORQUAY

Tavistock (Shaun Daymond):Myself, James McGahey and Dave Ball back in. Ian Gray, James White and Billy Barriball unavailable.

Torquay (Mike Pugh): Steve Lewis and Harry Baxendale are missing. Josh Hunt (100 v South Devon) has been in good form so comes up with James Tyler.   Looking forward to a tough game against a good Tavistock side and if possible creating a string of positive performances together.
