PREMIER DIVISION PROSPECTS

HATHERLEIGH v CORNWOOD

Hatherleigh (Mark Lake): One change Gareth Tidball is back for Danny Forrester. Both teams know it's a big game for both sides. Upmost respect for Cornwood: they have some decent players and we always have close games with them.

Cornwood (Jackson Thompson): We have Max Finzel and Adam Goodliffe back in team and so this will bolster both our batting and bowling.  We have good memories of playing at Hatherleigh and it always tends to be a competitive match. We are looking forward to it. Boys are pumped for it.

HEATHCOAT v BOVEY

Bovey Tracey (Lewis Hammett): Heathcoat are a top side on their day with an explosive batting lineup and bowlers who know their job. We are confident we can beat anyone in the league but going to be a tough challenge. Chris Bradley out, Will Christophers in. Great to see the strength of both clubs with our seconds playing against each other in the B Division.

Heathcoat (Peter Randerson): Liam Lewis not available. Jack Burnand comes in after impressing in the second team.Pete Turnbull bowling from the Football Stand end for Exmouth against Bovey Tracey last Saturday

PAIGNTON v EXETER

Paignton (George Benton): We know what we need to improve on from last week and start to bring consistency week to week. Connor Bryan is back from holiday so comes in for Ollie Woodcock who has looked good but is still only 15 so good for him to get a taste of 1st XI cricket. George Allen will go through a fitness check to make sure he's back to fitness. George has been a real miss the first part of the season, his experience and quality is the best around so hopefully he will be fit to play  Exeter are a very good team and can't be overlooked. We want to dominate teams at QP and we aim to do that this Saturday.

Exeter (Robin Fern): The team are looking forward to the away fixture at Paignton. Last week saw a number of quality performances and other members of the squad are keen to influence the game in Exeter's favour. This week we see the return of Toby Jones who is back after injury - We welcome Alex Haywood (ex-Chudleigh) who has performed well with the ball for the 2nd XI and deserves game time in the Prem. We miss out on Tom Lammonby and Ben Green, who have Somerset duties, leaving opportunities for others in the team to take on leading roles. I've been really pleased to see how much the guys have been enjoying each other's company on Saturdays– the team has good vibes!

SANDFORD v PLYMOUTH

Sandford (Richard Foan): Josh King is back for Shaun Hawkins who drops back to captain the seconds. Looking to get back to winning ways this weekend. Want the batters to be more selfish. We are fortunate to bat deep but it is up to the top order to get the bulk of the runs.Bovey's Chris Bradley – missing against Heathcoat tomorrow

Plymouth (Jon Varcoe): One change, Ted Haffenden comes back in for Ollie Parsons. The division is wide open at the moment, everyone is beating each other. If we can put a run together we'll quickly climb the table

SIDMOUTH v EXETER

Sidmouth (Luke Bess): Matt Parker has a thumb injury and is unavailable, Charlie Miles comes back in having had to work last week. There was a real buzz at training this week with fines for Saturday being decided on the fielding session! Feels like everyone's really looking forward to what was a close and controversial encounter last year.

Exmouth (Tim Piper): Kai Higham and Lawrence Greenway come up to the 1s after impressing in the 2s. Alvin Pollard is also available again after a leg injury.  We've played some really good cricket the last two weeks. Just looking to keep that momentum going.
