BOVEY Tracey 2ndXI tightened their grip on top spot in the B Division with an eight-wicket win over bottom side Dartington & Totnes.

Dinesh Raheja made a top score of 47 for Dartington & Totnes in their all-out total of 143.

Other than a stand of 68 for the fourth wicket between Raheja and Chris Cook (19), and a studious 28 from Ian Bransdon, there were few highlights for D&T on the batting front.

Bovey shared the wickets around with three for skipper Dan Green (3-21) and two each for Brad Causey, Ollie Clifford-Bourne and Chris Yabsley.

With rain on the weather forecast Bovey cracked on when they batted to get ahead of the asking rate, which was only around three runs an over.

When rain stopped play in the 17thover Bovey were comfortably in front with a running total of 104 for two in the book. 

Arren de Young (41) and Sam Harvey (30no) were the prime run getters.

Victory put Bovey 19 points clear of Ipplepen at the top of the B Division table.
