BELSTONE won by 138 runs when they travelled to Westleigh for a 35-over match in Division One of the North Devon League.

The Foxes racked-up an impressive 368 for five thanks mainly to a 268-run partnership between Ryan and Matt Dennis. 

Ryan’s remarkable innings of 199 contained 15 sixes and 20 fours and lasted 91 balls He was dismissed by Selwyn Fisher one run short of a double century. 

Matt’s run-a-ball 80 looked pedestrian in comparison. There were three wickets for James Starkey, and a couple for Fisher.

Steffan James led Westleigh’s reply with 91. He had support from Peter Bowes (31) and Lewis Parker (35). Ultimately Westleigh were all out for 230. Callum Mallet (3-30) and Tom Pearce (3-50) led the bowling for the Foxes. Dan Fogerty chipped in with a couple

A 30-overs-per side game was agreed at Instow where North Devon entertained Bratton Fleming.

Bratton amassed 155 for the loss of five. Harry Everett (51) and Simon Jennings (34) were Bratton's main scorers. Five bowlers took one wicket.

When James Tapp (2-39) delivered a knockout ball to remove Henry Cooper to reduce North Devon to 74 for five, Bratton may have thought they were in with a shout, Jack Moore (55no) and Darren Butler (42no) saw the home side to victory inside 20 overs.

Hatherleigh conceded their game against Heathcoat.

BIDEFORD went down by four wickets at Ilfracombe where they were bowled out for 106 in a Division Two match.

John Weeks (28) and Keith Berry (39) were the only significant scorers as Bideford were skittled out for 106. 

Sam Chowdhury (3-35), and Nasrul Raj (2-22) did the damage up top. Super veteran Kev Clarke (3-26) mopped-up the tail. 

Chowdhury (19no) and Raj (20no) saw the Seasiders home with overs and time to spare. Nathan Townsend set the platform with a stoic 26. Jim Keates did his best with the ball. He took three for 16 from his allotted eight overs.

Nomansland cruised to an eight-wicket win at Lynton & Lynmouth after dismissing the home side for 180. Stephan Wass (3-14) topped the bowling returns.

Tristan Jones (39) and Richard Holland (34) made L&L’s only significant scores.

Greg Cole hammered an unbeaten 80 as Nomansland sauntered to victory in exactly 14 overs.

Filleigh were awarded a walk over by Exford.

HOLSWORTHY sit second in Division Three behind leaders Victoria Park after defeating lowly Newton Tracey by seven wickets.

Newton scored 238 for five. Marcus Bulled top scored with 68 and Dominic Robson and Connor Robson both scored 55. 

Matt Mansbridge reeled off an unbeaten 101 in the Holsworthy reply and with Scott Hayler (60) and Rowan Tidball (54) chipping in it was job done with more than eight overs to spare.

KELSEYMEN (387-4) defeated Victoria Park (265) by 122 runs in League Cup fixture on the Westward Ho! ground.
