The Devon Cricket Board is responsible for all recreational cricket in Devon with the mission to lead, inspire and enable the growth, quality and accessibility of cricket across Devon.

Affiliated to the ECB, Devon Cricket Board seeks to deliver the 'Inspiring Generations' strategy with local meaning to say “Cricket is a game for me” to help ensure  more, high quality and inclusive cricket across Devon.

We now seek to appoint two new Board Directors to join our board who share our values and ambition to help us fulfil our mission and better serve our local communities. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate expertise, experience and a track record of leadership in one of the following areas:

  • Finance
  • Commercial expertise

Previous board experience is not essential, and we will keenly look to support and develop new members with the ambition, talent and commitment to enable us in our goals.

Whilst a passion for cricket would be beneficial, an appreciation and enthusiasm for the impact of sport and a willingness to get to know our sport in particular will be critical.

Time Commitment

Circa 12 to 15 days per year inclusive of board meetings, the AGM, meeting preparations, plus some engagements and other inputs as required.

Term of Office

Directors are elected for a term of three years but initially ‘staggered’ to avoid all terms maturing at the same time. Directors can serve for a maximum of six consecutive years.

Remuneration

Positions are voluntary with reasonable expenses covered.
