SUNDAY sees Devon Women entertain Nottinghamshire Women at Sidmouth in their first home game of the Royal London Women’s County Championship, where they are looking to use home advantage after being comprehensively beaten by Wales in their last match.

“We’ve not dwelt on the last game,” said head coach Trevor Griffin “It’s the beauty of this game – one minute we’re beating Essex by 167 runs and the next falling to Wales by nine wickets.

Return - Amara Carr“Notts were relegated last season and will be a tough test, they have ambitions to go straight back up into Division One.  Like Devon, they also lost their last game and will want to get back to winning ways, it promises to be a great game."

The only change from the last game is Amara Carr who returns with Sophie Mackenzie being unavailable this weekend.

“There’s been a great response from the players since our last game, we’re all working hard” said captain Jodie Dibble.

“Sidmouth is a great place to play and I can’t wait to get back to my home ground.

"Notts will be a tough test, we have aspirations to be a Division One side so this will be a great opportunity to test ourselves against a side who’ve been there.

"Our spirit is strong, we can’t wait to get going again."
