KINGSBRIDGE showed the benefits of strength in depth to win by 102 runs at Bridestowe.

Alex Jopling (3-19) and Dale Harris (3-27) had made life miserable for Kingsbridge by reducing them to 81 for six.

Opener and captain James Westlake had been and gone for 37 with the next best 14 by Will Pike.

A stand of 79 between James Shephard (36) and Ashley Treeby (43) got Kingsbridge going again.

Richard Drake (2-25) broke the stand, but the benefit was short lived as James Rosewarne got stuck into the bowling.

Rosewarne’s 62 not out took Kingsbridge to 245 for nine when the overs ran out.

Bridestowe lost Mark Fogerty early to Rosewarne (2-24), prompting opener Phil Hatton to drop anchor.

Hatton batted on and on for an unbeaten 66, but lacked support from anyone other than Matt Dennis (20).

Westlake (3-26) got into the middle order and with the last four wickets going for 19 runs Bridestowe were all out for 143.
