The Peter Howard Trust Fund

The Peter Howard Trust Fund was set up in 2000 to perpetuate the memory of Peter Howard who worked so hard for Youth Cricket in Devon and was Chairman for some years of Bradleys East Devon Youth Cricket League. The Trust is administered under a formal Trust Deed which provides that the objects of the Trust shall be to enable all persons (male or female) under the age of 25 years and residing or working within the present administrative areas of East Devon District Council, Mid Devon District Council, Exeter City Council and West Dorset District Council to have the opportunity to further their cricketing knowledge and ability.These objects are wide and can include financial assistance to clubs and individuals and the expansion of coaching.

Since formation the Trust has received donations from the family of Peter and local Clubs and individuals.This has enabled the Trustees to make various grants and in particular to assist youngsters chosen over the last few years to tour South Africa with Devon Cricket Board Youth Association Development X1’s. It has also been able to assist youngsters receive additional coaching including one chosen for a cricket academy course in Somerset.

The Trustees are always grateful for donations which have enabled grants to be made but are sure there are other youngsters in the area who could benefit from the Trust.
