B Division previews – week three: Mitch excited to see what Hall can do | Hayter in and Hayter out for Bideford

ABBOTSKERSWELL v BRAUNTON
Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Quite a few changes this week. Most notably all-rounder Archie Hall making his first-team debut. Very happy for him and we are all excited for him to show off his skills. Looking for more of the same from last week to hopefully make it three out of three. Always a good game against the northerners and expecting a good challenge on Saturday.
Bideford (Jack Ford): Expecting a tough game of cricket against a good team, at a place that isn't easy to go and get a result. But we'll be looking to carry on the momentum built from our brilliant win against Abbots last weekend. Oliver Hannam misses out due to other commitments. Josh King, Jim Keates and Julian Hayter unavailable also. Young batter Jack Ancill comes in; Ian Hayter will take the gloves, all-rounder Steve Bond and 2nd XI XI captain James Greenleaf come into the team.
BUDLEIGH SALTERTON v IPPLEPEN
Budleigh Salterton (Ed Doble): Looking to put last week behind us and get back to the standards set after the first game. Back in are Back in Sid Fereday, Max Mejzner and Ollie Blakeman.
Ipplepen (Matt Beasant): We played some of our best cricket least season against Budleigh and they look really strong again so looking forward to the challenge. Three changes. Notably Warrick Green comes in for his well-deserved first-team debut. He's had a brilliant couple of years in the second team and with Devon age groups and is now playing for Plymouth College 1st XI at 15. We're really excited to see what he can do following in his dad's footsteps.
ABBOTSKERSWELL v BRAUNTON
Abbotskerswell (Toby Codd): It's important for us to get the season up and running this weekend. We'll be looking for a couple of people to stand up and take the game by the scruff of the neck. A couple of selection issues across the club this weekend so a bit to get sorted yet ahead of Saturday. It'll be a good chance for people to put their hand up and be counted. Richard Harmer comes in after making runs in the second team. I am out due to work commitments.
Braunton (Sam Reddick): Going into this week having won two from two. All the team is bang up for it each week and we are relishing the challenge of being in the B Division. No Dan Brierley this week, in comes Mark Thomas who has been batting well in the 2nd XI so far. We won't be taking previous results into account. We are firmly focused on delivering our best cricket week in week out. We know Abbots have some dangerous players; we've had a strong week of practice and are feeling well prepared.
CLYST St GEORGE v BOVEY TRACEY 2nd XI
Clyst St George (Dan Kendall): Important for us to follow up last week's win and go back-to-back. Steps in the right direction and I know there's more to come from us yet. Opening bowler Ted Brown returns this week.
Bovey Tracey 2nd XI (Dan Green): Hoping to forget the last two weeks and season starts Saturday. My first game back and we welcome in Ben Steer and Archie Christophers for their first games as well so we are in high spirits and time to play catch-up. Clyst are a great side and we always have a good game. Saturday should be a good contest
STOKE GABRIEL v IVYBRIDGE
Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): Looking to build on last weekend’s win. Still no news on the arrival of Justin Pringle (from South Africa)., Mike Smith is nursing a sore back; Mike Meech has had a procedure this week and Adriaan Maxwell injured his wrist last weekend. So a few changes this week. Dan Bullock comes back in after a getting 90 odd last week. We are looking to continue to build momentum, even with the long sick list.
Ivybridge (Josh Zimmerman): One change for us this week. Tinashe has now arrived from Zimbabwe and comes straight in. Tom Worth drops down after doing a brilliant job for us in the first 2 games. Really looking forward to testing ourselves against a decent Stoke side.
