Premier Prospects – Week five: Chappell wary of North Devon batting threat | Moore hoping players find some form

PREMIER DIVISION PREVIEWS – WEEK FIVE
Bradninch & Kentisbeare (top) v North Devon (10th)
Bradninch & Kentisbeare (Gary Chappell): Pugh, Piper and Wubbeling away this week, but Buzza is available and Lamey back in. No easy games this season and North Devon will be challenging given their approach at the top and the fact they have plenty of proven performers.
North Devon (Jack Moore): Veteran Richard screech is back to take the gloves. Obviously, a tough start to the season and away to Bradninch & Kentisbeare is a tough at it gets. We know we aren't a million miles away, just have to tighten up in a few areas and hope some of us find some form!
Heathcoat (9th) v Plymouth (5th)
Heathcoat (Dylan Penberthy-Hutchings): Looking forward to this one. Plymouth are always competitive and we've had some tight games with them over the years. Looking for much of the same from our top order with the middle/lower order making contributions and much of the same with the ball. Good opportunity to build some momentum after last Saturdays win and Thursday night’s T20 win over Bradninch & Kentisbeare. Harry Southgate, Noah Musikanth, Dan Pugsley and Freddie Bucknell all in.
Plymouth (Sam Stein): One change for us – Fahad out and Surya back in. Back-to-back wins for us now which is a good sign – we're a new side so understanding what works has been important for us. Good team spirit within the side hoping to make it three wins from three.
Exmouth (4th) v Sandford (7th)
Exmouth (Fin Marks): Availability is a bit better this week but still not 100%. Looking forward to Saturday it's normally a good game. Hopefully we can get Lawrence Walker out for once. We are two and two, but lost the last two. Hopefully, we can pick up a win on Saturday and start a little run ahead of a few difficult weeks coming up.
Sandford (Jackson Thompson): Obviously, the results haven't gone our way this season. The good thing is we have control over a lot of things that should give us the results we seek. We haven't been our best consistently and so the results reflect that. Couple of changes this week, Harrison Jones comes back in and so does Matt Jeacock. We have quite a depth of players to choose from and this creates a good competition for places. Exmouth are a very good side with some very consistent and destructive players. It will be a good game like it always is against them.
Sidmouth (7th) v Cornwood (8th)
Cornwood (Elliott Staddon): After a poor start looking to get things back on track this weekend. A couple of unavailabilities, including myself. Matt Skeemer captains the side.
Sidmouth (Luke Bess): Huntley, Way and Horsfield unavailable. Myself, Murray and Fowler come in. Good result at the weekend, need to try and keep building the momentum. Cornwood always a tough, competitive game.
Paignton (2nd) v Exeter (3rd)
Paignton (Harry Ward): George Woodcock comes in for Steve George. It's been a great start to the season, we just need to keep enjoying our cricket together. The boys are looking forward to Exeter; they are a top side with a lot of quality. And will be looking to bounce back from last week
Exeter (Clint McCabe): Disappointing result last week so we've worked hard at training on areas which needed improving. Alex Tipper comes in after scoring 194 for Devon under-15 last week who will hopefully add some firepower to our batting line up.
