A DIVISION PREVIEWS – WEEK FIVE

Tavistock (top) v Bridestowe & Belstone (6th)

Tavistock (Sean Cleave): Shaun Daymond and James McGahey out, with Charlie Barraball and Ian Gray in. Having Charlie back is a huge boost in all areas! Also Tom Clarke (Wadebridge and Cornwall U19 left-armer) has committed to play all season now which is a huge positive. The lads have played some great cricket so far this season but our objective still stays the same and that's to finish as far above the bottom two as possible. Bridestowe, as always. will prove a tough contest. They've got some top players and we will have to be at our best to get a positive result.

Bridestowe & Belstone (Tallan Burns): A few forced changes due to availability. Simon Gillespie, Jack Hatton and Tom Pengelly all come into the side. A relatively steady start to the season so far. We haven't shown our best cricket yet, so hoping last Saturday's win will kick start a good run of form for us.

Plympton (8th) v Thorverton (3rd)

Plympton (Harry Kandampully): Three changes from last week. Harnoop Kalsi and Tom Appleyard have gone home after uni. Ed Hurst and Matt Merrien come in for them. Oli Goulder is on holiday this week, but Chris Dunstan comes into replace him. Thorverton are a good side. So we'll need another strong performance to get a result.

Thorverton (Jake Choules): Two changes. Andy Pitt is working to pay off his fine for his ‘ghost’ injury last week. Sam Hardwicke is unfortunately heading back home after finishing studies. He’s been a great asset who we hope to have back next year. In come Bobby Heard as well as Awrang Khogiani for a well-deserved debut after back-to-back 50s and plenty of wickets in the 2nd XI. The table hasn’t settled down yet so expecting a very tough game at Plympton.

Kilmington (5th) v Bovey Tracey (7th)

Kilmington (Oli Reed): One change again this week. Rob Crabb out and new signing Scott Wells-Burr in. He is an all-rounder ex-of Chard and will strengthen the squad with bat and ball. Expecting another challenging game against a very talented team. Still haven't performed at our best, especially all pulling together as a bowling department. We need to be better and get back to winning ways.

Bovey Tracey (Seb Ansley): Same four back in this week from last week, including myself and Lewis Hammett, plus Harry Mount back in from Australia, then finding himself in Vietnam. Looking to bounce back again, we've been up and down so far and consistency was exactly what we wanted to push for this year. Should be good fun on a high scoring ground! Harry Mount – back from his wanderings and in the Bovey side to play Kilmington

Barton (10th) v Hatherleigh (2nd)

Barton (Steve Lewis): Cole Harford back and some late decisions to be made official. Big challenge ahead this weekend, Hatherleigh are a top side. We must rise to the challenge and put in our maximum. Back to basics, start winning the first 10 overs of each innings, as we did well last season, is a must. Hoping for a good game of cricket.

Hatherleigh (Rob Cockwill): Sean Letheren and Both Presswells back in the side this week. Also Gareth Tidball makes his return to first-team cricket. Very happy with the start to the season, we seem to have adapted to the pink ball very well. We have a strong squad this year and competition for places, which is always a good thing to keep standards high. We are mainly just looking to enjoy our cricket first and foremost. We all want to win. but I feel that is a by-product of being relaxed and not putting too much pressure on ourselves.

Cullompton (4th) v Torquay & Kingskerswell (9th)

Cullompton (Dan King): Sidhaarth Arulvendan comes in to replace Dan Reynaldo (away) and Nathan Vincent comes into replace Sukhdeep Singh (also away). There have been some real positives so far this season, with some good individual performances and we're happy with where we sit in the table. Still looking to improve and put together some more complete team performances as we close out May.

Torquay & Kingskerswell (Harry Passenger): Again, got a few players out, but looking to have some fun and start to get into good habits as the season progresses. We've got a great squad of players, on and off the pitch, so can't wait to see them firing.
