Five-wickets for Little put Torquay & Kingskerswell in driving seat | 'Aiden Little, with a class spell, bowled maturely and perfectly to the set plan' – Harry Passenger

CULLOMPTON were on the receiving end of a nine-wicket hiding when they ran into Torquay & Kingskerswell.
Cullompton’s total of 186 all out was made to look very modest indeed as the Rec Grounders polished it off inside 33 overs.
Three defeats in the last four starts – Hatherleigh was the odd one out – have dropped Cully within five points of the relegation places.
A win at Thorverton this Saturday would be a welcome step in the right direction for skipper Brendon Parr.
Cully’s running total of 50 for one after Aiden Little (5-48) broke the stand between Dinesh Raheja (21) and Dan King (29) – deteriorated to 79 for five.
Skipper Parr (71) went in at 65 for three and was the last man out when Harry Passenger snared him lbw.
All 10 wickets fell to spinners with two each for Harry Baxendale and Chris Kelmere.
Kelmere was the only batsman Cully got out during the Torquay & Kingskerswell chase.
Tim Western (51no) and Kelmere (37) made a 65-run dent in the deficit in the first eight overs. Nathan Roux (82no) finished the task by belting Sineth Asantha for six.
Passenger, the Torquay & Kingskerswell captain, said it was the type of ‘all-round performance’ he has been expecting for a while.
Passenger added: “It was awesome to see Nathan and Timmy back to doing what they do best.
“Aiden Little, with a class spell, bowled maturely and perfectly to the set plan.
“Roll on Kilmington next!”
For King, who comments post-match on Parr’s behalf, it was an incomplete performance.
“We're putting together patches of really good cricket, but not often enough or for long enough,” said King.
“Akshay Bharadwaj and Sidhaarth Arulvendab bowled well in the middle overs, and it was another solid performance from Brendon with the bat.
“Credit to Torquay & Kingskerswell. They batted and bowled really well in the conditions.”
