Around the wickets in the A Division – week six previews: Fogerty (pictured) back in Bridestowe & Belstone attack | Barton anticipate seeing overseas Kamunhukamwe for first time

AROUND THE WICKETS IN THE A DIVISION
BRIDESTOWE & BELSONE (9th) v BARTON (10th)
Bridestowe & Belstone (Tallan Burns): Ryan Dennis returns to the side, as well as Tom Fogerty. Tom has been a huge player for us for a long time, so we're delighted to have him re-joining from WEPL side Lansdown. Both will add quality in all three departments. We've shown some really strong pieces of cricket, but only for small periods of each game. We need to find a way to perform at our best for longer periods of the game if we want to climb back up that table.
Barton (Stephen Lewis): Overseas Tinashe Kamunhukamwe should be landing in time to play, but I won't be getting excited until he is here. He is in the line-up. No Craig Eaves, which is a shame, but in comes in-form batsman Lewis Crocker to add some depth in that department. As tough a game as any in this division and the way it is shaping a highly important one. Just hoping the weather stays out of the game and push for another win.
HATHERLEIGH (2nd) v PLYMPTON (6th)
Hatherleigh (Rob Cockwill): Emmerson, Ryan Quick and myself all back in this week. Looking to improve on last week’s performance (lost to Bovey) and result. It will be another tough test which we are looking forward to.
Plympton (Harry Kandampully): Two changes from last week. Chris Dunstan and Jamie Bailey out. Luke Oxenham and Oli Goulder in. Hatherleigh have made a strong start this year and are always good side. Hatherleigh had a blip last week against Barton so we are expecting a reaction from them. We need to be at our best again.
THORVERTON (4th) v CULLOMPTON (6th)
Thorverton (Jake Choules): Poor availability this week, which is frustrating. But we have still managed to get a strong side out. Five changes overall, some enforced, some not. Incomers include Andy Pitt, veteran all-rounder Dave Baldock and a deserved first-team debut for Freddie Fenner. Hoping the Station Road Ground micro-climate comes into play and we get a game in.
Cullompton (Dan King): Seamer Chris McKee returns for Sineth Bandara. Looking to improve on the learning points from the last two weeks: batting 50 overs, lift fielding standards, and bowling better lines and lengths consistently.
BOVEY TRACEY (3rd) v TAVISTOCK (top)
Bovey Tracey (Seb Ansley): Tom Andrew and Harry Mount out; replaced by Ed Foreman and Sam Harvey coming back into the fold with plenty of first team experience. Pete Bradley out with a bad back from carrying the side with his fielding performances week on week, so Gethin Williams in for him. Opportunity for a rematch following our close Twenty20 against them early season. Tavistock are flying at the moment so got to shut down the danger men in the Barriballs and Mupfudza! Want to make Bovey a tricky place to go for all opposition and keep winning at home.
Tavistock (Sean Cleave): I’m away this week at a family wedding, and Ian Gray is also missing out. Shaun Daymond comes back into the team to skipper the side, and James McGahey returns from his holiday. Both add real quality and experience, which will be a big boost for the team. This Saturday, it’s all about staying positive throughout, having each other’s backs, and coming away with as many points as we can get. Bovey’s going to be tough, no doubt, so we’ve got to stay focused, keep pushing, and grab every chance to take control.
TORQUAY & KINGSKERSWELL (7th) v KILMINGTON (8th)
Torquay & Kingskerswell (Harry Passenger): Availability an issue again, but still a very talented side – hoping to put on a performance just like last weekend. Looking forward to it, hopefully the weather stays away.
Kilmington (Oli Reed): After a poor start,we are looking to get things back on track this weekend. We know we aren't a million miles away, just have to tighten up in a few areas and hope some of us find some form. Rob Crabb back in for Scott Wells-Burr (away).
