B Division briefing – week seven: Creer (pictured) back in CSG attack | Pens; skip backing Beasant for runs task

B DIVISION BRIEFING – WEEK SEVEN
ABBOTSKERSWELL v PLYMSTOCK
Abbotskerswell (Toby Codd): James Tyler is unavailable so Chris Clough comes back in for him. Second-team captain and club legend Aron Owen also comes in for Charlie Smout-Cooper. It'll be good to get back on the field after a washout in Budleigh. Spirits remain high and we believe we can be the first team to beat Plymstock this season.
Plymstock (Tom Mitch): Fingers crossed for a dry Saturday. Few changes again this week. Team shaping up well still, we're full of confidence and hoping for more of the same after last week’s win. Aiming to make it seven out of seven.
CLYST ST GEORGE v IPPLEPEN
Clyst St George (Dan Kendall): Bertie Creer is back in this week and hopefully Steve Bourke too. Expecting us to put in a much better performance than last week (lost to Plymstock)
Ipplepen (Matt Beasant): Still a few missing unfortunately, but that will likely be the case for most Saturdays. Marcus Gadie comes back into the side, backing him to get back into the runs after a week off with injury. Expecting a tough match against Clyst; they are a strong side so we will have to be at our best.
BUDLEIGH SALTERTON v STOKE GABRIEL
Budleigh Salterton (Ed Doble): Same side as last week, looking forward to hopefully a game after the rain.
Stoke Gabriel (Jack Tolley): Just Pringle and Mike Smith in for Jack De-vere and Dan Bullock. Justin has been ready to go since April so we are excited to see him back in the side and contributing with bat and ball. We have played some good cricket at points and having Justin in the side will only improve us. Expecting a tough game against Budleigh, but about time our bowlers fired this season!
BRAUNTON v IVYBRIDGE
Braunton (Sam Reddick): All-rounder Andy Norman in this week, Tim Smallridge unavailable. Everyone is ‘bang up’ for it this week after losing out to the rain last week. Some of the lads have managed to get some good time in the middle in our T20 comp, which was much needed. We know what we need to do to close out games and get over the line. No easy games in this league and Ivybridge are no exception to that. We look forward to welcoming them Saturday.
Ivybridge (Josh Zimmerman): One of those weeks where the bigger picture of life away from cricket gets put into perspective. We've had to make four changes. Myself, Jake Dunn (school commitments), Arthur Johnson (broken hand) and Farz Safi are unavailable for various reasons. Plenty of first-team experience coming back into the side. Lewis Clarke returns, along with second-team captain and vice Sam Northmore and Sam Kidd Also the exciting Toby Borrow is back, fresh off a 60-ball hundred.
BOVEY TRACEY v BIDEFORD
Bovey Tracey (Dan Green): Team looks good! Got three out for various reasons, but still a strong side. We are confidently looking for 20 points this weekend. On paper Bideford are among the best sides in the division so it will be a big challenge. Let's just hope the rain stays away.
Bideford (Jack Ford): We all know internally what we need to do to improve our results and get back to winning ways, but it's now time to start showing that and putting things right before it gets too late. Always a good game between us and Bovey. can't see this weekend being any different."
