HEATHCOAT moved their Blights Motors NDL fixture against Westleigh to Sampford Peverell, for well-documented reasons, and won by 70 runs.
A fire discovered on Friday morning burned down Heathcoat’s wooden pavilion, but club officials were determined to carry on playing and fulfilled all their NDL and DCL fixtures on Saturday and Sunday.
Heathcoat racked-up an impressive 278 for five. Tom Lock and Michael Humphreys both scored 79, and Finn Stoneman contributed 50. James Starkey took a couple of wickets for Westleigh.
Heathcoat bowlers chipped away regularly at the Westleigh batters. James Pugsley was the stand-out bowler with four for 39, Matthew Boundy ran him close with three for 26, and there was a couple for Matt Harrison.
Selwyn Fisher top scored for Westleigh with 57, and James Morris contributed 45, as Westleigh capitulated to 208 all out
Heathcoat, by playing their fixtures, confirmed their strength as a club.
North Devon’s title challenge came to a shuddering halt at Nomansland, where they were soundly beaten by 180 runs
Elliot Butterfield got the Nomansland innings off to good start with a rapid 57, but it was Aryan Lakra that stole the show by scoring 103 not-out off 48 balls. He hit 10 sixes, and eight fours in an impressive display of hitting.
Skipper Greg Cole chipped in with 48 as the innings closed on 325 for nine. Kiaran Wormington took four for 76 for North Devon
Navindu Vanderbona played a lone hand with a solid 50 for North Devon. The only other significant contributors were Roshan Lakmal (28), and 39 extras as the visitors were dismissed for 145.
Thomas Murphy took three for 20, and there were a couple each for Elliot Cole and Freddie Barrow.
Exford entertained Ilfracombe in Division Two and handed out a 189-run thrashing. Exford reached 269 all out. Sam Price led from the front with 76. Skipper Oli Ahern just missed out on a century, top scoring with 96. Tom Ward, Sam Chowdhury, and Adam Bambridge all took two wickets for Ilfracombe

Ranjeesh Krishnan led the attack with three for 11, Tom Barry, and Oli Ahern both took a couple
Hatherleigh won by 228 runs at Braunton. Shreyansh Ghosh scored 101 not out, his fourth NDL century this season, as Hatherleigh scored 370 for five at Braunton. Greg Solkin scored 83, and skipper Oscar Moore contributed 68.

Braunton captain Andy Norman led the chase with a battling 78, but the rest of his side struggled against the eight Hatherleigh bowlers, all of whom took a wicket, as Braunton were all out for 242, to lose by 128 runs
Over at the Valley of the Rocks, Lynton & Lynmouth easily beat Newton Tracey 2nd XI by eight wickets.
Newton made an all-out score of 136. Oli Symons top scored with 37, Faizan Naveed got 32. Tristan Jones, and Jeremy Bingham both took three wickets for Lynton. It took just over 18 overs for the home side to get the runs, Kofi Atkinson helped himself to 68 not out, next highest was the 30 extras Newton conceded.
Barnstaple & Pilton were unable to raise a team to play Victoria Park.
