Match One    Devon v Dorset

Becca Halliday opened the Devon's innings and batted wonderfully against Dorset to remain not out for her 74, hitting 15 boundaries. Partnerships were made with  Millie Attwell (28) and Sophie Gillies (27*). Devon batted their ova for 155-3.
Dorset struggled with the bat and unfortunately no one managed to make it into double figures. Wickets flowed with Sophie Florides taking 3 wickets for just 3 runs; Hollie Perkin (2-6) and Becca Halliday (2-8). Dorset did bat their overs, but for just 58; Devon won by 97 runs.

Match Two   Devon v Wales

Our second T20 game of the day was going to be, without doubt, a lot closer and a much more <competitive as we faced Wales (who are in our Championship division).
Wales won the toss and elected to bat. Though Devon bowled well, especially Maddie Holifield, who took catches off her own bowling for her 3 wickets for 27 runs. Sophie Florides also took 2 wickets for just 5 runs. Wales ended on 88-8.

What seemed an achievable total, and apart form Becca Halliday, who opened once again, and scored 37* , the Devon girls found it hard to hold onto their own wickets. Emma Corney (who was playing up for the first time) was also not out for 10.

Sadly Devon fell just 13 runs short for victory ending on 76-7.
