BRIDESTOWE booked their semi-final place at South Devon with a 219-run win over Lewdown.

Gary Sizmur (61) and Leon Horn (92) piled on the early runs at quicker than a run-a-ball.

Lewdown managed to pick up some wickets towards the end of the innings but late hitting from Tallan Burns (20), James Ewen (27) and Eddy Jones (23no) took the hosts to 266-7.

Spinner Callum Mallet (5-22) wasted no time getting into the Lewdown top order, picking up wickets in each of his first three overs.

Captain Jones (4-5) had figures of 4-0 at one stage, but Tom Pengelly (0-1) wrapped up the innings with his first ball of the game.

TAVISTOCK 2nd XI were on the receiving end of an eight-wicket drubbing when they welcomed Hatherleigh 2nd XI to the Ring in West Three. 

After Ryan Burke (25) and Will Scott-Munden (31) put on 57 for the first wicket, only Ben Evans (19) and Marc Lewis (21) lingered long as Tavistock were held to 138 for nine. 

Veteran Richard Tidball (3-11) out-bowled everyone including Nick Smith (3-32) for Hatherleigh. 

Ryan Quick (29) and Danny Forrester (47) took Hatherleigh’s chase to 84 for one. Harry Arden (15no) and Adam Quick (20no) joined up the last few dots.
