B DIVISION BRIEFING

BIDEFORD v IVYBRIDGE

Bideford (Tom Brend): The Hayter trio (James, Julian and Ian) are unavailable). In come Victoria Park all-rounder Ian Brown, who has signed on with us on a Saturday, as well as Chris Luxton and James Greenleaf. Playing familiar foe Ivybridge who always give us a good game. If we continue to perform as well with bat and ball as we've started to make it three from three.

Ivybridge (Adam Huxtable): Callum King comes in after a while out. Looking for another good performance after last week’s win over Clyst St George.

BOVEY TRACEY v TAVISTOCK

Bovey Tracey (Dan Green):After a close-fought game against Westward Ho! (Bideford), and having a few players missing, we will be looking to get back to winning ways. We batted well but need to ensure our bowling is better Jack Kessell and Archie Christophers return this week.

CHUDLEIGH v BRIDESTOWE

Chudleigh (Will Heather): We are hoping to put things right this weekend and put in a better performance. As usual, a couple of changes with players returning. Dan Britcliffe comes in to the fold after impressing for the second team last week. Also back is spinner Luke Quaintance after a university commitment last week. Also in is Tim Sandercombe at the top of the order with the bat. Don't know much about Bridestowe, but know we will be in for a good, competitive game.

Bridestowe (Dan Fogerty): More of the same stuff as last week against Cullomptpn, but a big emphasis on fielding this week. Dropping the wrong player can end up being a game changer!

DARTINGTON & TOTNES v IPPLEPEN

Dartington & Totnes (Mick Rusling): All rounder Chris Cook is back this week. We're also hoping to have Jim Lowden back after knee surgery. Ian Bransdon is unavailable this week. Dinesh Raheja was struggling with migraine last week but should be fine. We're hoping for a change of fortune and are still hoping to bring in a strong overseas player after several let downs.

Ipplepen (Simon Tapley): Benny Forsey (exams) and Sam Wakeham (holiday) out. The Durman brothers (Dom and Tom) back in. Two good wins to start the season. Lots still to improve on, most notably the wide count, which was 44 last Saturday.

CLYST ST GEORGE v CULLOMPTON

Clyst SG (Dan Kendall): We've got two changes. Steve Bourke is back in for Hamish Dow (unavailable) and Oli Chatterjee switches with Harry Attwater from seconds to firsts. I'm looking for one or two of the top five to stand-up and be the difference on Saturday. We're anticipating a high-scoring game given our ground and the kinds of scores we've seen in the early rounds. Should be a good game!

Cullompton (Todd Scrace): Looking forward to another weekend of cricket and eager to get off the mark. Opener Euan Tinley and keeper Paul Rendall missing this week but replaced by overseas Tafara Mupariwa who arrived on Tuesday and Nathan Green back into the side after a week’s absence. We are feeling confident. If we can put on another display with the bat similar to last week, and tighten up with the ball in the early stages of the innings, then It will hopefully be the first of many wins this year.
