Devon County Cricket Club
Finance Director's Report for the year ended 30 November 2022

The club had total income for the year of £53,798 (2021: £37,338) which included grant income of £36,600, compared to £23,700 in 2021. In addition, the club received £7,500 from sponsorship. In terms of expenses, there was an increase in overall costs from £39,713 to £45,044.

As a result, the club had an overall net excess of income over expenditure for the year of £8,754, which compares to an excess of expenditure over income for the prior year of £2,375. It should be noted that the excess of income over expenditure of £8,754 includes £8,000 in respect to the Devon Lions bank account that was effectively transferred into the main accounts of Devon County Cricket Club.

R Wensley Finance Director Date:

Upon the advice of accountants and the prudence of the DCCC General Committee, the Club has built up and maintained significant reserves to cover the position where grants from third parties might no longer be available. If such grants were terminated or drastically reduced, then the level of reserves would be necessary to enable the Club to continue its playing commitments until alternative funding could be found.
