HATHERLEIGH (7th) v ABBOTSKERSWELL (10th)
Hatherleigh (Niall Leahy): Couple changes this week, Rob Fishleigh, Charlie Nielson and Ruben Forrester all coming in. Aiming to bounce back from last weekend. Looking for more consistency across the board and playing our best cricket for longer periods in games.
Abbotskerswell (Ed Smout-Cooper): Nick Guest is away taking part in a sailing competition this weekend; everyone at the club wishes him good luck. Liam Hurse comes back in and Toby Codd has signed from Bovey this week. Great to have him back as his skill and experience will strengthen us with bat and ball. Looking to put in another good performance and hopefully get the result we need.
THORVERTON (3rd) v NORTH DEVON (top)
Thorverton (Jake Choules): Looking forward to testing ourselves against the top side. Should be a great battle between the league’s leading wicket taker (Ben Slaviero) and leading run scorer (Jack Moore) in particular. Unfortunately availability isn’t great with some experienced guys away, but a chance for our youngsters to show what they can do. A well-deserved debut for 16 year old Jack Baker, the latest product of our great junior set up.
North Devon (Jack Moore): Few in, few out. Richard Screech back in to take the gloves , Reuben Windley back from university to bolster the batting. Looking forward to the day out.
PLYMOUTH (2nd) v TAVISTOCK (9th)
Plymouth (Sam Stein): Few changes this weekend again but all have first team experience for who's coming in. Still confirming side. Looking forward to playing at home this weekend - seemed to have a lot of away fixtures int he first half. Hoping to keep our winning run going and stay in reach of the teams above us.
Tavistock (Charlie Barriball): Hoping this week will be the change in our fortunes this season. Availability is looking more consistent for the rest of the season and looking to get a few wins under our belt and pull away from the drop zone. Changes this week see Dave Manning, Ian Gray, Sean Cleave and James McGahey back in for a difficult away fixture at Plymouth.
PLYMSTOCK (8th) v BRIDESTOWE (5th)
Plymstock (James Nicholls): Fair bit of change this weekend. Just finalising what the team looks like. We still have a strong core to the side and are looking forward to another tough game against a strong Bridestowe team. North Devon look head and shoulders above most sides, but the rest of the division is quite tight where the chasers keep beating one another.
Bridestowe (Tallan Burns): We've got one change from last weekend. All-rounder Ryan Dennis comes in for Patrick Ewen, who is away. Ryan played a massive part in our promotion last year and improves us in all three departments so delighted to have him back in the XI. Plymstock are a tough side to play, especially at home, so we'll need to be at our best to get back to winning ways
TORQUAY & KINGSKERSWELL (4th) v KILMINGTON (6th)
Torquay & Kingskerswell (Harry Passenger): After a great cup win on Thursday, hoping to keep the winning streak alive. Been a tricky week in terms of availability but we're starting to click as a team, with our heads in the right place. Bring on Saturday!
Kilmington (Brett Garner): It has been a tough week for injuries and a couple of suspensions! Couple of seasonal debuts from 2nd XI stepping up! Expecting a tough game and see what happens! Hopefully availability will improve from next week for rest of the season.
