With Division One already setting the pace, attention now turns to the start of campaigns in Division Two and Division Three. Here’s what to look out for this weekend.
In Division One, Exeter will be full of confidence after their opening win as they host Cornwood, aiming to secure another valuable 20 points. Plymouth, meanwhile, take on Paignton and will be keen to get their first victory on the board to keep their title defence on track. Elsewhere, Exmouth face a tough trip to North Devon as they search for their first win. After being docked four points for fielding ineligible players, North Devon will be especially motivated to make their way back up the table.
Over in Division Two, Exeter 2’s welcome Plympton in what promises to be an intriguing contest. Plympton have strengthened their squad ahead of the fixture, bringing in Thailand international wicketkeeper Nannapat Koncharoenkai, alongside Devon players Emma Phillipson and Esther Woolley. Taunton Deane host Hatherleigh as both sides look to start strongly, with the home side targeting an early push for promotion back to Division One.
Also in Division Two, Exmouth 2’s take on Chagford, with both teams eager to open their season with a win.
Across the divisions, it promises to be an exciting weekend of cricket. You can follow all the action live via Play Cricket or on the Devon Women’s League YouTube channel.
