Devon Women head into the final game of the season on Sunday, 30 August, knowing victory over Staffordshire will secure the Metro Bank One Day Cup title.
Avoiding defeat on Sunday is enough for Devon to finish top of the 50-over league table for the second season running, but this time without needing a play-off to determine the Division 1 champion.
Devon have a 100% record in the competition this season, having won all six of their games, five with a bonus point, including a 6-wicket victory against Cheshire last time out.
Staffordshire come into the game off the back of their game against Buckinghamshire being declared abandoned and a 63-run defeat to Berkshire in the round prior.

Lauren Rowles's Pre-Match Thoughts

"We head into the final game of the season against Staffordshire with a real sense of purpose and excitement. It's always a bit bittersweet reaching the last fixture; I'm genuinely looking forward to seeing the girls go out and perform again, but there’' also that feeling of sadness knowing the season is coming to an end.
"We've named another strong squad, and Staffordshire will no doubt give us a tough contest. But if we stay true to the way we play, backing our skills, taking positive options, and bringing that same togetherness we've shown all year, then we will put ourselves in a really good position.
"A big finish ahead, and a brilliant opportunity to close out the season with the same intent and energy that's carried us through!"

ECB Women's County Championship - Division 2
Amara Carr was the captain as Devon Women secured a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over Staffordshire with more than 27 overs to spare.
Electing to field, Devon's bowlers were relentless from the outset. Hazelle Garton (1-11 from 10) set the tone with an economical opening spell, but the day belonged to Milly Squire. Her superb figures of 4-27 ripped through Staffordshire's middle order with only Charlotte Whyle (40) offering prolonged resistance as the hosts were bowled out for 104 in the 45th over, with Becca Silk (2-18) and Emily Edgcombe (1-11) providing excellent support.
In reply, Sophie Mackenzie led the charge with a fluent, match-defining 50 from 66 balls, peppering the boundary with six fours. She shared an 86-run opening stand with Cait O’Keefe (32*), who guided the side home alongside Suzie McDonald (8*) after Mackenzie fell with the finish line in sight.
